Share your story

You don't have to attend our digital storytelling workshops in order to submit your story. If you can create your own Queensland digital story and you can meet the following requirements then send us your story for consideration for publishing on this site.

Queensland digital stories can be created using text, photographs, graphics, video or audio. The copyright and intellectual property rights on these mediums vary. The responsibility to identify the copyright owner and to obtain permission to use the text, photographs, graphics, video or audio to create your Queensland digital story, rests with YOU (the creator).

When submitting your Queensland digital story you must include a completed copy of the form – Library Board of Queensland Deed of Gift [new window 105 kb MS Word document]. This form gives options for copyright and permission for the State Library of Queensland to publish your Queensland digital story on this website.

If your Queensland digital story includes interviews with other people, photographs or video of other people then you will need each person to sign a Consent & Release Form [new window 32 kb Document in Microsoft Word format].

If your Queensland digital story includes music that is not your original creation (ie. composed and recorded by yourself) then you must obtain clearance to use such music.

More information on Copyright and Intellectual Property is available from:
