Milpera 'Meeting place of brothers and sisters' (2007-ongoing)

This is a joint project between the State Library of Queensland and Milpera State High School, an Intensive English Language and Preparation Centre (Education Queensland), for newly arrived immigrant and refugee young people. Through the provision of digital story training to eight Milpera teachers, this project aims to establish digital media skills which will enable digital story creation to be introduced into the students' language education program.

DVD copies of the digital stories created will be held in the Milpera State High School Library for loan to teachers and students for educational purposes.

Some of the stories created through these training workshops and through future Milpera digital workshops are available for viewing on this page.
