IntroductionThe Queensland Stories community project was developed by the State Library of Queensland in partnership with Queensland University of Technology’s Creative Industries Faculty.
The Queensland Stories project connects with the network of over 330 Queensland public libraries. Public libraries are active in recording and developing the cultural identity of their communities and Queensland Stories provides support for public libraries and Indigenous Knowledge Centres to further develop this role and celebrate the State's diverse cultural identity. What is a Queensland digital story ?We all have stories to tell; your story may be about people or places or particular incidents or events, past or present, that are special to you. We are looking for your Queensland story linked to the following themes: memories, arrivals, special people, favourite places, strange and everyday tales, politics and communities, stories from the State Library. Queensland digital stories are 3-4 minute mini movies where you are the storyteller and moviemaker. You will create your Queensland digital stories using digital technology such as cameras, computers, scanners and your own photographs and storylines. If accepted, your Queensland digital story will be shown on this website. Queensland digital stories are about the diversity of our lives as Queenslanders. It is an opportunity for you to be the digital storyteller! |
